But the 30-year-old fighter's tough guy image was shattered in an instant on Tuesday night, when he was seen letting out high-pitched screams as he laid eyes on large spiders while sitting with his campmates in a car for a task.
And the Bolton native's antics attraction a relentless round of ribbing from amused viewers, who took to Twitter to droves to mock him, with one quipping: 'Future boxing opponents of Amir Khan will just dress up as a spider now!'

Amir and his campmates Iain Lee, Stanley Johnson, Jennie McAlpine endured the creepy-crawlies when they were told that they could spend the night at the Jungle Arms - but only after surviving the 'rank taxi'.

They followed?Vanessa White, Georgia 'Toff' Toffolo, Dennis Wise and Jamie Lomas, who themselves had to ride along in a taxi filled with terrifying snakes.
But it was Amir who raised the most laughs when, in the midst of exchanging wind-ups with Iain, spent most of the journey screaming.
In the end, the pugilist's fright ended up being worth it, as both taxis won the task and were able to dine on pizza together - a welcome break from their daily staple of rice and beans.
As an extra layer of icing on the cake, the stars also enjoyed a celebratory karaoke session together before returning to camp.??

However, on his triumphant return back to camp with all eight stars, Dennis told pals Amir and Jamie that it wasn't as bad as Iain had made it out to be. He said: 'They gave me 10 minutes and I did it in five... there's no way it was 3 metres deep, it was 1.5.'
'So it wasn't three metres then?' Jamie asked in response, with Dennis insisting it hadn't been.?
Amir?was then seen telling the camera: 'It sounds like Iain has a lot of problems.' He had previously been criticised by viewers for putting all the blame on Iain for strawberry-gate.?
