This is my moment: Taylor Swift was chosen to grace the cover of British Vogue's January 2018 issue - commanding attention in a bold backless Saint Laurent gown by?Anthony Vaccarello
Play with shape and silhouette in Taylor's Saint Laurent mini dress
It's safe to say that Taylor has gone through a real transformation in her life and it's apparent that she's turned a new leaf in the style department too.
Long gone are the flirty mini skirts, preppy collars and lace-up oxford shoes in favor of vampy lipstick, edgier hair, and sexier clothing.
Which is why we weren't surprised to see her grace the cover of Vogue Magazine wearing a red leather look hot off the Saint Laurent runway now helmed by the king of sexy, edgy clothing-- Anthony Vaccarello.
Saint Laurent's Spring collection was a lesson in shape and silhouette, with buoyant and billowy structures that come to a finish with a tight, high hemmed mini skirt. This is exactly what Taylor's look was, comprised of supple studded red leather for a dress that we'll be hard up to recreate on the high street.
That being said, click right to shop the current collection up for grabs at NET-A-PORTER or get inspired by Taylor's look with one of the alternatives in the carousel below.
Red leather-- who would have thought? Now, look what you made US do, Taylor.
The crooner commanded attention on the cover in the bold red gown, which is embellished with silver studs and features a daring plunging back, to leave plenty of skin on show.
Maintaining the grungy feel from head to toe, the blonde slicked her famous curls away from her face and sported a dramatic smoky eye and dark rouge lip - to make a stronger style statement as she fiercely posed.?
Slipping into a number of show-stopping looks for the shoot, Taylor later offset her sultry beauty look in a dazzling embellished mini dress, complete with semi-sheer bodice and sleeves to tease at her figure beneath.??

The shoot is part of a 12-page spread for the January issue, and a bold second choice for new British Vogue editor Edward Enninful.?
Discussing his choice, Enninful revealed he had chosen the grungy theme to reflect Taylor's transformation in the music industry - from country crooner, to one of the world's biggest pop stars.?
He said: 'For me, the chance to help transform America's most fascinating sweetheart was a joy.?

'As we took the pop icon on an epic fashion journey with photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, what struck me most about Taylor was her brilliant sense of humour, but also how, for a woman in her twenties, she has an incredible sense of who she is.'
Adding: 'Obviously she is a world-class lyricist – and has written a stunning poem just for Vogue on the timely subject of reinvention and moving on – but she also takes her duties as a role model very seriously.
'Taylor is acutely aware of her following and how she communicates with young women, and will never portray a character that would send the wrong message. That said, even superstars aren't immune to the power of a great dress.'

'Mert (Alus) and Marcus (Piggott) took these photos for @britishvogue and my album photos for reputation, and it's been such a bonding experience working together so closely and talking so much about what we wanted to make.?
'It's been a while since I've done a magazine cover. I'm really happy my first one back was with such wonderful people.'
Bold new direction: Enninful was appointed the new editor after Alexandra Shulman stepped down following 25 years at the helm (pictured with John Galliano right)
