He plays a tough bull, with a soft heart, who's mistaken for being threatening and dangerous.

And toughman John Cena showed his own softer side when he attended the London premiere on Sunday, even getting into the spirit in a pair of fun play ears.

Taking the bull by the horns, the 40-year-old joked about in a festive hat with ears just like his titular alter-ego Ferdinard.

John looked sharp in a three -piece suit, showing off his bulging muscles is the pinstripes framed his figure.

He set the charcoal outfit off with an orange tie, and finally, his festive set of ears.?

Joining him on the red carpet, was director Carlos Saldanha, who put on a very playful display.

British actress Sally Phillips - best known for comedies like Smack The Pony and Bridget Jones' Diary - also plays the voice of Greta.

John has starred in comedy films such as Daddy's Home 2 and Trainwreck but this will be his first animation.?

John too has a softer side, as he proved when he proposed to his longtime partner in front of 75,000 people in April.
