It's just bananas! Korean boy band BTS get fruit thrown at them by James Corden in hilarious game on The Late Late Show

Korean boy band BTS have become something of a musical sensation but when they appeared on?James Corden's Late Late Show on Thursday things got a little messy.

Suga, 24, Jin, 24, RM, 23, J-Hope, 23, Jimin, 22, V, 21, and Jungkook, 20, had fruit thrown at them by the cheeky presenter as part of a hilarious game called Flinch.

The segment saw the band test their nerves by standing behind glass and trying not to react when fruit was shot at them from a cannon.

J-Hope was so spooked he fell onto the floor while Jin shook his hands in front of his face several times once the fruit was launched.?

The rest of the group looked to be in high spirits as the pair came out from behind the barrier,?and James even said that it was 'the best flinch we've ever had.'?

Later, when Jungkook and V went up against the blaster the latter remained stoic and didn't even blink or move as the fruit came hurtling towards them.

Jimin, Suga and RM went last but also failed the test of nerves when they all flinched after James pushed the button.

The group then performed DNA on the show, which is the title track of their new album Love Yourself: Her.

BTS's appearance on the late night talk show is one of many they have made on American TV recently as they also appeared on?The Ellen Degeneres Show and Jimmy Kimmel Live this month.

BTS's rise in popularity has steadily been growing in their home country of South Korea and around the world since the group's debut in 2013.

The have released four studio albums, four compilation albums and 22 singles, they also have a huge global fanbase known as their ARMY (Adorable Representative M.C's for Youth).

It is thanks to American ARMYs that the boy band won the Top Social Artist award at this year's Billboard Music Awards in May after fans voted more than 300 million times for their favourite group using the hashtag #BTSBBMAS.

RM, who has often spoken on behalf of the group thanks to his excellent command of English, thanked the fans at the awards show and said: 'ARMY, our fandom, thank you very much.

'And you know we still cannot believe that we're standing here on the stage of Billboard Music Award, oh my gosh'
