'The laughs erupt, but there’s little aftereffect, as with meteors streaking across a blank sky. They register briefly, and then they’re gone.'?

Foursome: The comedienne starred in thefour-player play alongside fellow first-timer Keegan-Michael Key, and theatre vets Laura Benanti and Jeremy Shamos
Hit and miss; According to Broadway News , all four provide 'plenty of assured comic acting' — which helps 'spackle over the jagged holes in Martin’s play.'
'The other 60 or so minutes of Martin’s new play is little more than set-up and filler, often repeated,' the review wrote.

'Homosexuality, on the other hand, keeps popping up. It’s like blackface in a theater era gone by — something to throw at the audience whenever the white/straight characters can’t hold our attention.'
