She has been sporting a foot brace since last week, after slipping and fracturing her toe.

But Lily James didn't let the injury hold her back on Thursday, as she threw herself into filming scenes for Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again in London.

The Downtown Abbey star, 28, flashed a brave smile as she hobbled onto the set of the hotly-anticipated prequel in a navy dressing robe and blue floppy hat.

The pair seemed to be in relaxed spirits as they chatted between takes during the scene, which is set in Paris and featured?extras dressed in retro clothing.

Lily's outing comes amid claims filming for the Mamma Mia prequel has been delayed after the actress slipped and fractured her toe.

The actress, who had spent the past few months cavorting about the set in towering platform boots for the Seventies-set film, has been left hobbling around in a far less glamorous foot brace.

Filming kicked off for the prequel to 2008's Mamma Mia in mid-August, with the hotly-anticipated film slated to be released next July.

The upcoming flick 'goes back and forth in time to show how relationships forged in the past resonate in the present', according to Deadline.
