The Voice: Miley Cyrus channels country legend Shania Twain in racy leopard print romper suit as she joins her protégés for rousing performance of Man! I Feel Like A Woman

Miley Cyrus returned to her country roots as she took to the stage with a cover of Shania Twain classic Man! I Feel Like a Woman during Tuesday evening’s edition of The Voice.

The 25-year old, a coach on the hit show, paid homage to the iconic music video accompanying Shania’s international hit by sporting a distinctive leopard print romper suit while performing the track with protégés Janice Freeman, Brooke Simpson and Ashland Craft.

The fitted design served to accentuate her slender physique, while fishnet tights gave the look an edgy flourish.

The singer later sobbed as team member Janice was dramatically voted off the talent show.?

Miley had become extremely attached to the talented 32-year-old contestant and didn't conceal her emotions.

'If anybody deserves to stick around in this competition it is you. You are a fighter, you are a warrior, you are a role model and, more than any of that, you are The Voice, I am in complete shock, I love you so much,' she cried.

'I'm not trying to cry for you guys to vote for Janice,' she added, addressing the viewers at home.

'This isn't what this is about…I feel like I've gotten one of my closest friends…I am a shameless supporter of you…I believe in heaven because of people like you,' she yelled.

Janice, who has been a strong contender from the get-go, was also in tears.

'Miley, you have been the best thing that has ever happened to me, in my entire life, and I appreciate you. You will have a friend for life and anything that you need from me, I am here, so thank you for what you have given me,' cried Janice, who is a cancer survivor from Compton, California.

Adam, a 38-year-old Tennessean, sang Lonestar by Amazed before Janice did Chandelier by Sia.

Adam Levine, who is openly a huge Janice fan, failed to crack a smile when his own singer won the place in the top ten.

'Talent isn't really something that can be judged on a talent competition, it can't really be judged at all,' said the Maroon 5 frontman.

Ten other artists made it through to next week.

The first to be saved was Blake Shelton's 23-year-old Tennessean Chloe Kohanski, who sang Total Eclipse Of The Heart on Monday's episode.
