'They were drinking for six hours!' Pop Idol winner Michelle McManus reveals her family had a VERY boozy journey to her Scottish wedding... as she admits she is so 'nosy' on social media
She won an army of fans as the winner of Pop Idol in 2003, performing her debut single All This Time in front of 10 million viewers.
And while things have changed for Michelle McManus in the past 14 years, one of the biggest changes has been her marriage to husband Jeff Nimmo in September.
Appearing on Loose Women on Tuesday, the 37-year-old revealed all about her incredible nuptials, including a very boozy train journey her friends and family took to the venue.

Michelle revealed that her family enjoyed a fabulous trip up to Mallaig, Lochaber for the wedding, having a party before they even reached the reception.
'We decided to get married up in Scotland, but where it was six hours on the train, I had to say can we buy a couple of carriages because I know how my lot travel up,' she said, predicting their celebratory antics.
'I didn’t want any American tourists thinking this is how Scottish people travel!' Michelle joked.
'My friend had bought a drinks trolley and they were drinking for the six hours on the way up. When they arrived at this little fishing village it was like Apocalypse Now!'

Michelle, who looked sensational in a stylish sparkly jumper and skirt combo, appeared on the daytime show to talk about her upcoming charity single with The 12 Choirs of Purpose.
Performing We All Stand Together at the end of the show, Michelle revealed that she hopes it will make it to the Christmas Number One.?
As a former talent show star, Michelle also gave her advice to this year's hopefuls, as they prepare for the nail-biting X Factor final this weekend.
She said: 'Be kind to people and treat people how you want to be treated yourself. I’ve been so lucky the last 14 years and it’s about not letting it go to your head.?

'When I did the show there was no social media and it's evolved so much. It’s such a wonderful opportunity and it may give you the longevity that you’re hoping for.'
Michelle certainly left a mark on viewers of the ITV show, with many praising the star for her positive outlook.

And despite being a star from before the days of social media, Michelle revealed that she loves using the different platforms, despite being subjected to cruel taunts online.?
Defiantly taking a stand against her critics, however, Michelle insisted she won't let any negative comments get to her. She said: 'You can never control what people think of you, you can be the thinnest and most beautiful person but you cannot control how people view you and what they’re going to say.?
'People are always going to have their opinions you just need to let it go, there’s been some hurtful stuff but you’ve just got to let it go, focus on the positive.
'I love social media, I do. Sometimes you wake up in the morning and people have had a wee drink and they want to tell you how much they hate you... but no, I love being a bit nosy.'
