A HISTORY OF SPORTING STUNTS AT BURJ AL ARAB

This is not the first time the Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai has hosted an international sporting superstar on its helipad.

Back in 2005, Roger Federer and Andre Agassi had a hit up in the clouds (below) to promote the Dubai Duty Free Men's Open, an exhibition tennis tournament in the emirate.

In 2011, Rory McIlroy showcased his golfing skills on the famous helipad, playing out a temporary bunker and teeing off into the sea, as Tiger Woods had done before him.

Then, in 2013, David Coulthard somehow not only squeezed a Formula One car up there but manage to perform several doughnuts to celebrate Red Bull's one-two at the season-ending Grand Prix, which also culminated in Sebastian Vettel winning the Drivers' Championship and the team winning the Constructors' Championship.
