Princess Mary and her husband Prince Frederik will embark on a trip to her hometown of Tasmania with their children to celebrate the festive season.

'The Crown Prince couple travel together with their four children, TRH Prince Christian, Princess Isabella, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine, to Australia and celebrate Christmas with the family of HRH The Crown Princess,' a statement read.

The trip Down Under will be the first Tasmanian holiday for the family since 2011.
